Jakarta (ANTARA) – The makers of the “Lord of the Rings” series which airs on Amazon promise the excitement of the fantasy world of Middle-earth, which is different from its predecessor films, when appearing at Comic-Con, San Diego.
The series “The Rings of Power”, quoted from Reuters, is set 4,000 years before the events in the film adaptation of the book by JRR Tolkien. This period is known as the Second Age.
Peter Jackson’s films are set in the Third Age, where all kingdoms have fallen.

“Rings of Power” begins in a peaceful Middle-earth filled with light and color, featuring the kingdom of Númenor, series creator Patrick McKay told fans at Comic-Con. Harfoot, predecessor hobbitswas a wanderer and far from the Shire, he said.
JD Payne, who also created the series, said the calm at the start of the story will soon be threatened.
“Imagine your house, your family, your job, costumes cosplay– you, all the things that are important to you. Suddenly imagine everything being taken away. How far will you go into the darkness to protect it? That’s the story we’re telling.”
McKay and Payne attended alongside a number of series cast members including Morfydd Clark, who plays the soldier elves young Galadriel, and Robert Aramayo, who plays Elrond the halfling elves.
Amazon plans to make this story 50 hours long over five seasons. A total of 465 million US dollars was spent on production costs made in New Zealand, making it one of the most expensive TV series ever produced.
